A UNIQUE INITIATIVE TO PRESERVE THE TREASURES OF THE DORA WASSERMAN YIDDISH THEATRE!

The Dora Wasserman Yiddish Theatre Archives at the Segal Centre for Performing Arts is one of the only archival collections in North America to focus on preserving the history of Yiddish Theatre. More than a half-century of material about the Dora Wasserman Yiddish Theatre and its artistic achievements provide a window on the important cultural heritage of Yiddish Theatre.

Founded and maintained by a group of dedicated volunteers, this beloved collection includes thousands of documents, including old films, videos, posters, photographs, sheet music, maquettes, audio tapes, scripts, costume drawings, and playbills.
